Why do I have to pass through a pool of water every time it rains? So much other traffic does the same; as the picture indicates. The area is on the road from Xemxija to Għajn Tuffieħa and is called Il-Ballut.

I don’t need to write a whole page as this is known to every driver who has to pass through that area. Does this mean that there is no solution? Where is the local council who has the authority to remedy this situation?

Some advice: this can only be solved by building a pipeline against the holding wall below the street, maybe 50 metres long, even more with a diameter of say 40 to 50cm. Holes can be drilled in its bottom and in the sides, so the water will seep slowly into the fields.

I’m not an architect; but it’s an idea on which professional people can work.
