WasteServ will be introducing an e-quotations system aimed at improving the transparency of procurement and making quotation requests accessible to a larger group of suppliers.
The system will come into force on April 1.
Under the new system, registered suppliers will automatically receive a notification each time a quotation request relevant to their line of business is made. Quotations can be submitted through WasteServ’s website.
According to Public Procurement Regulations, any works, goods and services with a minimum value of €2,500 excluding VAT, have to be advertised through a public call for tenders or quotations. Those with a lower value may be procured by selecting the cheapest compliant offer from a minimum of three quotes obtained directly from selected businesses.
Under the new system, even works worth less than €2,500 will now be subject to an open call as business will be able to view quotation requests of any value directly from the website.
