Swimmers have been warned to stay away from the beach at Tax-Xama in St Paul’s Bay because of a sewage overflow after problems at the Pwales pumping station.

The health authorities said bathing was not recommended next to the slipway at the right-hand side of the beach. Warning signs indicating the exact zones have been set up.

Meanwhile, the Water Services Corporation said it was working on a solution to the problem.
