The Technical Regulations Division of the Malta Competition and Consumers Affairs Authority notifies consumers who may have bought a heavy-duty safety helmet branded Daniel Professional Tools to stop using this product immediately. The safety helmet is yellow and classified as Item No: T-611.

The Daniel Professional Tools safety helmet does not conform to the applicable EU directives, thus posing a serious risk to consumers. These safety helmets were placed on the market as a part product, having no harness, which is considered an integral part of the safety helmet – as stated by the applicable standard.

Without the harness, the product does not provide the necessary protection from falling objects. Therefore, the product is being withdrawn from the market and recalled from all consumers.

The authority’s Technical Regulations Division advises consumers who may have bought this type of safety helmet to stop using it and to return it to the place of purchase.

The division also warns economic operators to refrain from selling the product and to remove it from the market.
