While thanking the relevant authorities for finally introducing the light-controlled zebra crossing at Xemxija Hill, I would like to appeal for immediate action to be taken to prevent an accident waiting to happen on the dilapidated and dangerous garden wall situated on this hill.

This wall is about to come crashing down onto someunsuspecting motorist during inclement weather. The owner of the adjacent plot, which was also in a dangerous condition, has already taken action and secured the site by removing the soil from behind his part of the wall.

It is such a great shame that Xemxija Hill, which was once the pride and joy of the residents living in the area, has now been allowed to fall into such a state of dereliction by speculators who are waiting for a return to the boom days of the property market to remove these eyesores.

Pride does not seem to be a word in the vocabulary of the owners/speculators of these properties.
