Malta and India have signed an agreement on the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports. The agreement was reached in talks between Foreign Affairs Minister George Vella and his Indian counterpart Salman Khurshid, on the margins of the 11th Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in New Delhi. In a statement, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said the agreement is meant to ease travel restrictions, facilitating bilateral cooperation and enhancing political and diplomatic exchanges between the two countries.
