There are over 23,500 people on the waiting lists at Mater Dei Hospital – all of them need surgery of some sort. This, undoubtedly, means that there are 23,500 people who are in pain of some kind.

With a hospital as massive as Mater Dei, one would expect the waiting list to be much lower.

When will Health Minister Joseph Cassar decide to take the bull by the horns and address this problem before the waiting list gets any longer?
