The Vodafone Malta Foundation is helping Maria Regina Girls Secondary School in Mosta to support more than 13 needy families by donating groceries over the festive season.
This project addresses the needs of several families who are struggling to make ends meet.
In 2006, the school’s administration set up a committee specifically to help families in need by donating groceries, stationery and other basic necessities monthly. To help out more families, the committee is reaching out to third parties who can support the initiative.
The project helps these families’ children develop a healthier lifestyle and more life skills, increasing their probability for full participation in society.
The Vodafone Malta Foundation shares the school’s commitment to make a difference.
“Every child has a right to an upbringing that provides basic needs,” said the foundation’s chairman Ġemma Mifsud Bonnici.
“We whole-heartedly agree to support families and lessen their financial burden to ensure their children do not lag behind others as a result.”
