The number of people who stayed in hotels and guesthouses dropped by 1.6 per cent in November compared to the same month in 2013, but the total nights spent remained similar.
However, total arrivals during the first 11 months amounted to nearly 1.5 million, an increase of 6.6 per cent over the previous year. The period between January and November also saw an increase of more than three per cent in the total nights spent.
National data issued yesterday shows that, during November, the arrivals in collective accommodation establishments, like hotels and guesthouses, totalled 100,717, while the total nights amounted to 543,785.
