They’ve only been back a few weeks from a much-lauded appearance at this year’s Hammer of Doom Festival alongside fellow Maltese Doom act Forsaken, and mainstays of the genre such as Lord Vicar, Yet So far and Doomsword, and there’s already news of more activity in the Nomad Son camp.

The latest news is, in fact, related to the band’s widely-acclaimed second album, which garnered amazing reviews from some of the leading international critics of the doom genre and consolidated the band’s rising popularity on the international scene.

Recorded at Temple Studios in Mistra, The Eternal Return was originally released on CD in July last year through Italian label Metal on Metal Records and was voted the Best Doom Metal Album of 2010 on Delaware’s Silence So Loud website and Album Of The Year on German webzine Vampster by Doom Shall Rise organiser Frank Hellweg.

The band’s Italian label, in collaboration with French label Emanes Records has just released a vinyl edition of the album. Featuring artwork by Jowita Kaminska-Peruzzi, who is known for her work with Manilla Road, Exodus and Forsaken, the album comes in a luxury gate-fold sleeve featuring several live photos of the band.

A must for doom fans and vinyl collectors, the LP can be ordered by e-mailing the band at info@nomadson.com, or from Anthony D’Amato Record Shop in Valletta.
