I object to the way some signs were fixed at Villa Rundle, the state-of-the-art public garden in Victoria.
They were simply nailed to the tree trunks with no regard to the consequences.
Yet, strangely enough, two signs that were fixed to the stonework were stuck using glue to minimise the damage. This is not the way to take care of trees.
Another thing: over the years, many prominent people planted trees in Villa Rundle Garden to commemorate special events.
Such events were usually accompanied by the unveiling of plaques.
Where are these now? Are they going to be fixed in a special part of this garden once they are part of its history?
