Fra Diego Home, in Ħamrun, badly requires a new 14-seater van.

Almost 14 years have passed since the purchase of the present one, which is giving regular trouble to the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, who administer and manage the place.

The van used at Fra Diego Home comes very handy for the children who are being cared for and protected there. It takes them to school, outings, excursions, parties etc.

Very recently, the nuns were advised to go for a new vehicle instead of regularly sending the van for a service whenever it breaks down and paying large sums of money.

The best price offered for a new van is €33,800, including VAT amounting to €5,160.

We have also been informed that registration tax will total €13,900.
