Valletta is being revamped and one can understand that works have to be done. But works are one thing, neglect and shoddiness another.

The Valletta entrance is characterised by poor lighting, shoddy ramps and platforms, which reduce access and mobility.

Persons with a disability, elderly people and parents with pushchairs are particularly affected by this shoddiness. Last Wednesday, an elderly woman fell over a badly placed ramp.

It does not take a genius like Renzo Piano to realise that something has to be done fast.
