This evening, VIAF continues with a Shakespeare commemoration when soprano Gillian Zammit, accompanied by Lucia Micallef, performs a recital of works inspired by the Bard.

These include arias by Purcell, Handel, Bellini, Gounod, as well as lieder by Strauss and Schubert, and art songs by Quilter. Maria Frendo will comment on the works.

Tomorrow, the Marylebone Trio from the Royal Academy of Music, London, will perform works by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and more.

On Thursday, Tchaikovsky Competition winner, cellist Daniel Veis, accompanied by his wife Helena, will perform a concert of works by Brahms and Dvořák.

All three concerts will take place at the Aula Mgr G. Farrugia, Victoria, and start at 8pm.
