While driving from Sliema to St Julians the other day, I counted 15 Arriva buses! It is no wonder that Sliema and St Julians are suffering from severe traffic problems. Looking at the signs on the buses, I noticed Mellieħa, Rabat and God knows whatever other town or village. Why is it that they are using Sliema and St Julians to get to Valletta? Why do they not go direct, or through a shorter route? The public are moaning about the length of time it is taking to get to a destination. Is this going to be rectified? Drivers who frequent the Sliema and St Julians route will hope that some other routes are created in order to satisfy both drivers and commuters.
