I have recently being trying to seek answers from Melita regarding the bills not being sent. Melita have informed me to report the postman because it’s Maltapost’s fault we haven’t received the bill.

Then I learn that quite a few people have not received their bills from Melita, but it doesn’t stop Melita from sending them text messages threatening to cut off the service.

How do they expect people to pay the bills when there not being delivered? During a conversation with one of the very helpful telephone staff of Melita I was informed they prefer their clients to use the internet service to pay their bills.

Numerous calls to Melita have proved futile

Oh and wait for it there’s more: they don’t like to send out bills any more due to the waste of paper and the danger to the environment.

Sorry I always thought paper was recycled. And I’m so sorry to inform Melita that my parents who are nearly 70 years of age don’t have the internet and rely on the bill being posted.

Numerous calls to their department informing them the bill hasn’t arrived are to no avail.

The only response my parents are getting is by text message saying Melita are going to cut off their service.

I wonder just how many people are experiencing the same thing around Malta.

Melita, don’t brush off your faults onto Maltapost. I pay €200 a month for the company’s service and the least I expect is a bill to drop through the door. What I don’t expect is to be sent text messages threatening to cut the service of my parents because they have a problem sending the bill.
