If you happen to live or park your vehicle on Main and Lapsi streets, St Julian’s, you are guaranteed to have rivers of urine on your driveway and between parked cars.

Revellers damage cars, kick motorbikes over and leave litter all over the place. There needs to be constant police presence in the area every time there are any ‘special’ functions in Spinola Square. Police officers standing in front of the station are not enough.

Whoever issues permits for such functions must be made responsible to wash off all the urine before owners get to their cars to drive to work in the morning.

They should also pay for damage caused to private property. Maybe they could be creative and find a way to contain the crowd in the square and entertainment areas and hold such events away from residential areas.

Such suggestions are very reasonable but they are ignored by event organisers and the businesses who profit handsomely.
