Middlesex University London has announced plans to open a campus in Pembroke that will offer full British degrees.

With campuses in London, Dubai and Mauritius and educational partnerships throughout the world, Middlesex University’s Maltese campus is expected to attract students from across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

The announcement was made last night during a graduation ceremony attended by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.

The project will be set up in Pembroke where Middlesex University has been offering computing degrees with partners STC Training for the past five years.

The university will provide undergraduate and master degrees in subjects such as business studies, finance, media and computing, among others. Melvyn Keen, Middlesex University Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said they already had a strong relationship with STC Training that led to “excellent student success but we want to take this further to provide new opportunities for people across the region and beyond to gain globally recognised qualifications”.
