Seventy students were recently awarded degrees by the University of London after graduating from St Martin’s Institute of IT, an affiliate institution for the university.
The graduation ceremony was held at the Barbican Centre in London. Twenty-eight of the students achieved a first-class honours degree.
Several of the graduates were also presented with separate awards.
Edward Vella and Justin Mifsud, graduates in BSc (Hons) Computing and Information Systems, were presented the University of London Award for Academic Achievement.
Neville Farrugia received the award for Best Overall Performance in Computing and Information Systems while Matthew Mangion received the award for Best Overall Performance in Creative Computing.
Marco Paolillo, an Italian student at the institute who graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Management won the award for academic achievement. This was the second time a student from the institute achieved this award in this degree.
Paul Said, a graduate in MSc Information Security, received the 150th Anniversary Award for Achievement.
