I received a call from the Offers Office of Melita Cable. The salesman asked whether I was a subscriber of Melita and, upon my confirmation, the salesman was going to hang up.

I asked him whether Melita was interested in knowing whether I were satisfied with the service or if I had any problems with it.

Upon mentioning my problem, he told me – with an unmistakably unfriendly tone – that complaints are not his job. He passed the call on to their supposedly “customer care”.

Of course, the phone kept ringing for several minutes but no one from Melita’s unfriendly “customer care” bothered to reply or even to return the call.

Their “customer care” is surely a big misnomer.
