Perhaps there could be an answer to this question. Why is it that, several years since the road from San Lawrenz to Dwejra Bay, in Gozo, was laid, it is still not finished with a top surface tarmac coating?

It is obvious to anyone with civil engineering knowledge that there is a top coat of tarmac surface missing. When the road was first laid, the manhole iron work was protruding upward, awaiting the top coating, which would have made them level.

I note that the manholes have all been lowered and the road markings have been made, which gives the appearance that the road has been finished but there is still a raised concrete edge that should signify the level of the top surface coating.

It is my contention that somebody cheated the EU grant system and just missed off the top surface coat for one’s own profit.

I welcome any information that will prove me wrong.
