Three restaurants in the UK are listing the successful IGT Maltese range of wines produced by Emmanuel Delicata, Pjazza Reġina.

The Bildeston Crown restaurant which lists the bronze-medal -winning Pjazza Reġina red, made from a unique blend of Syrah, Merlot and Sangiovese, was named Best Restaurant at the Suffolk Food and Drink Awards 2010.

It holds the status as Suffolk’s only AA 3 confirmed rosette restaurant.

The wine is described on the wine list as “this blend of three grape varieties from Malta is a delightful cross over in styles between France and Italy, creating a medium bodied red with loads of flavour and a hint of spice to the finish”. The wine is listed at £20 (€25) per ­bottle.

Over in Essex, the Starr restaurant in Great Dunnow, lists both the red and white Pjazza Reġina wines. Both wines sell on the wine list at £19.50 a bottle or £5.75 a large glass or £4.25 for a small glass. The white is described as “a fresh and invigorating style from the heart of the Med” and the red as “a successful blend of Italian and other European grapes varieties that create an appealing style”.

At the Great House Hotel in Lavenham, back in the heart of Suffolk, this very successful boutique hotel cum French restaurant is listing the Pjazza Reġina white. This establishment has a number of accolades such as Best Restaurant in Suffolk Sunday Times – The Food List; one of Suffolk’s best hotels Suffolk Magazine; one of the UK’s best value rural hotels Times Online; one of the 10 top French Restaurants in South East and London Squaremeal’s; one of Britain’s seven best restaurants with rooms – The Sunday Times; acclaimed French restaurant at the Great House Hotel, Lavenham – OK Magazine.

On the wine list the Pjazza Reġina white is listed at £19.60 a bottle or £4.90 a glass and is described as a unique blend of Malta-grown grapes at an exceptionally good value for money price.

Pjazza Reġina wines are also available in a number of specialist retail wine shops in the area.

The Pjazza Reġina IGT Maltese Islands range of wines was successfully released onto the Maltese market in 2009 and onto the English market the following year.
