The union representing paramedics in their salary dispute will not step up industrial action before it meets Finance Minister Tonio Fenech tomorrow.

The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin warned if the meeting was unsuccessful, it would tell members about tougher directives.

The meeting comes four weeks after the union instructed 900 paramedics, including physiotherapists, radiographers and occupational therapists, not to carry out community work or use means of communication.

Despite fresh proposals tabled by the government and the UĦM stepping up its directives, the two parties have failed to make any headway on resolving their differences.
