All Transport Malta employees will resort to industrial action from tomorrow unless allowances owed to enforcement officers are paid, the Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin has warned.
Driving examiners will only carry out half the scheduled tests and enforcement officers will spend their working day at City Gate in Valletta instead of carrying out inspections around the island. The action will also include a go-slow directive in all departments, workers will not reply to mobile phones and calls on fixed lines and e-mails will only be replied to between noon and 4 p.m.
The union says about 60 enforcement officers have not received their allowances for two consecutive months.
