A Malta Hockey Association (HAM) team will be representing the country at an international  Under-17 fives tournament starting tomorrow in Prague.

This is a result of the breakthrough tournament held at the Corradino Complex last year when, for the first time, the HAM fielded two Under-16 sides, boys and girls.

Those travelling to the Czech Republic are Luke Bonnici, Luke Bajada, Matthew Camenzuli, Chris Agius, Kyron Busuttil, Jeremy Borg, Daniel Ellul, Julian Farrugia and Jacob Galea.

They will be accompanied by coach Shawn Mifsud and team manager Andrew Camilleri.

Also travelling with the group will be a nominated umpire for the HAM, Edward Hughes, and Christopher Busuttil Leaver, the association president.

Seven other nations will be represented at the U-17 fives tournament in the Czech Republic.
