The Maltese U-16 girls national team will be in Andorra between July 25 and 30 for the FIBA European Championships Division C.

Preparations started months ago as training sessions, under the guidance of coach Sandro Farrugia, intensified in the build-up to the tournament.

Malta will be playing in Group A along with Wales and hosts Andorra. Cyprus, Monaco and Gibraltar will be competing in Group B.

Farrugia’s girls start with the game against Andorra on Monday and play Wales the following day.

Classification matches will be played on Thursday and Friday with the finals scheduled for today week.
