Ukrainian international midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk is considering his future at Bayern Munich, he told German magazine Kicker.

“Maybe I’ll stay in Munich, I don’t know yet,” said Tymoshchuk, whose contract expires in 2013.

Tymoshchuk said he had “a few options in Russia” and was “in contact with several clubs”. According to certain sources, the 33-year-old defensive midfielder is being tracked by Napoli and Milan.

His future could depend on whether or not Bayern sign Athletic Bilbao’s Javi Martinez, who, like Tymoshchuk, can play in defensive midfield and central defence.

Tymoshchuk joined Bayern in 2009 from Russian club Zenit Saint-Petersburg.
