Earlier this week Delicata picked up two other awards for their wines in two separate wine competitions held in London.

One of the commendations awarded was for the winemaker’s 2009 vintage Gran Cavalier barrel-matured, late-harvest Syrah DOK Superior Malta, at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards. The other commend-ation was given to the 2010 vintage Medina Girgentina Chardonnay DOK Malta at this year’s long-established London International Wine Challenge.

Both awards were announced at this year’s London Inter-national Wine & Spirit Fair which was held at the London ExCel Centre.

These two commendations come on top of the two other awards won for Delicata’s QWPSR wines earlier this year, which were a silver medal in Paris, again for the 2009 Gran Cavalier Syrah, and a bronze medal in Bordeaux for Delicata’s popular Rosé Ġellewża Frizzante made entirely from Malta’s unique indigenous red grape variety.

This brings the impressive Delicata medal count up to 80 international awards.
