Tumas Group joined forces with another six local companies and participated in the 11th Corporate Social Responsibility Day held on March 19. Employees from the various Tumas Group companies carried out works at the Male’s Ward 3A at Mount Carmel Hospital, a unit for men who are suffering from psychiatric, psychological and emotional problems.

The works included the painting and whitewashing of the ward as well as landscaping of the garden. Patients went on a day outing, on a coach, to enable Tumas Group employees to carry out the works during the day. They then came back in the afternoon to find a totally refurbished ward.

The employees were visited by President George Abela, Archbishop Paul Cremona, Parliamentary Secretary Mario Galea and Catherine Gonzi, who kindly thanked all those present for giving up some of their time on a public holiday to carry out voluntary work. Employees from the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Cars International Limited, Spinola Developments ltd, Tumas Group Management, Mill Street Complex, TG Complex and Valletta Gateway Terminal participated in this event.

Tumas Group thanked the other business partners in helping it carry out the works, namely Arriva Malta who provided transport for the patients to go on an outing, Calamatta Landscapes who took care of the garden landscaping and SAW limited for the supply of timber skirting.

This event was organised in collaboration with six other companies, namely HSBC Bank Malta, Simonds Farsons Cisk, the Gasan Group of Companies, Deloitte, Arrow Pharma and MSV Life.
