After picking palm leaves and olive branches year after year over the Easter period, the Birkirkara St Joseph the Worker parish church decided it was time to give something back. Parishioners yesterday planted 25 Cypress trees at the Ta’ Qali national park after contacting the 34U tree-planting campaign. They plan to make this an annual event aimed at raising environmental awareness.
