On August 27, The Times carried another letter from a motorist complaining about traffic wardens.

Our traffic warden system is supposed to be a police-like service but is in reality a private company (whose primary function is generating profits for its shareholders) masquerading as a pseudo-public service.

Makes you wonder how our legal profession has permitted such a strange animal to be born and to continue to thrive.
