I refer to the interview with Andrew Ganado about the Townsquare project and his attempt to “set the record straight” and talk about “misinformation”. But, how about “lack of information”?
There is one massive fact that nobody seems able to address and it is one that impacts every human being that inhabits, or simply visits Qui-si-Sana.
I refer to ‘skyscraper wind effect’ and quote from the BBC website: “The City of London Corporation has promised a more ‘rigorous’ assessment of developers’ predictions of ground winds, following complaints about strong gusts outside the 20, Fenchurch Street Building, better known as the ‘Walkie Talkie’. ‘I almost got blown over the other day walking up past the building,’ a sales assistant working nearby said earlier this year. ‘When I got around the corner it was fine. I was scared to go back’.”
This is just one example, among many such stories, about the anti-social aspect of these buildings of which the authorities here seem blissfully unaware – or are deliberately ignoring.
Can you imagine what life would be like in Qui-si-Sana when the mistral, or, worse, the gregale blows? The area is already very exposed and a structure of this nature would, therefore, impinge on it disastrously.
I am afraid that if this development goes ahead it will create a wasteland.
It is not too late to reconsider.
