Summer is here and with it comes the sight of speedboats on trailers being towed around the island. It is very rare to see a boat being towed with the obligatory electric attachment for brake lights and indicators.
Following one of these juggernauts on the road is like playing a motorised version of Russian roulette; the sudden stops and guessing which way they are turning, among other things.
I suppose the fact there are few law enforcement officers on the roads, these people feel it’s a risk worth taking. Meanwhile, those of us who bother to get the appropriate tow bar equipment end up feeling stupid. Am I the only person who is concerned about this?
