A Eurohockey 2016 Club Champions Challenge IV tournament for men is being hosted by Lightshop Sliema Hotsticks at the Corradino Complex, starting next Friday.

The competition, under the auspices of the European Hockey Federation, also includes Maltese champions Qormi Poiatti.

Qormi and Sliema qualified along with four other teams, two of which hail from Finland (Seinajoki United and HC Kilppari), one from Greece (Imittos HC) and the other side from Norway (Kringsja).

Qormi were drawn to play the qualifiers in the same group as Seinajoki and Kringsja while Sliema were paired with Imittos and Kilppari.

Friday’s first programme sees Qormi playing Seinajoki United at 3.15pm as Sliema Hotsticks open their account with a match against HC Kilppari at 5.30pm. The tournament comes to a close today week with the classification matches.
