Three men have been seriously injured in separate road accidents, with one passenger in critical condition after the car he was in collided with a bus.

The first accident happened on Thursday at around 6pm on the Għaxaq bypass when a Peugeot 205 driven by a 22-year-old man from Żejtun, carrying a 21-year-old from Gudja, crashed into a bus driven by a 55-year-old woman from Naxxar.

The police said the passenger was critically injured and the car’s driver was slightly hurt.

In the second accident, a motorcyclist broke his leg after losing control of his bike on the Coast Road at around 3am yesterday.

The 48-year-old man from Naxxar was riding a Yamaha XV250S when he hit a wall at the entrance to Madliena, police said.
