Three people were taken to hospital yesterday following two motorcycle accidents.

Police said the first happened in Ta’ Bieb it-Torri Street, Msida, at 8.45am when a Toyota Auris driven by a woman, 46, from St Paul’s Bay collided with a Muz Mastiff bike ridden by a man, and a woman as a pillion rider.

The man, 32, was treated for broken bones while his 37-year-old passenger, both from Msida, had slight injuries. The driver was unhurt.

In the second, towards St Julian’s along the Coast Road, limits of Naxxar, at 2.15pm, a 37-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay mounted a central strip on his Honda XR motorbike. He had serious, but not life threatening, injuries.
