Three cars were damaged, two of them extensively, in two separate incidents between Saturday and early yesterday morning.

The police said they were informed of a parked Isuzu Trooper that caught fire at the Ta’ Xbiex seafront at about 10 p.m. on Saturday. The fire was extinguished by the police.

At about 3.30 a.m. yesterday, the police were told about another burning car in Garden Street, Qormi, where a parked Ford Escort was engulfed in flames. A Renault Megane Scenic parked behind it was also damaged.

No one was injured and arson was not ruled out.

Duty Magistrate Edwina Grima was informed.
