Some 50,000 trees are expected to have been planted in various towns and villages in Malta between 2008 and the end of this year as part of the Tree for You campaign.

Answering a parliamentary question by Joe Mizzi (PL), Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino said 20,000 had been planted in 2008, 18,520 in 2009, 7,900 in 2010 and 1,696 in the first six months of this year.
