Prolific goal scorer Timmy Thomas, who started the previous season at Senglea Athletic before joining Żebbug Rangers in the January transfer window, is the latest acquisition for Sliema Wanderers, the Premier League club said yesterday.

A product of the Paola Hibs nursery, Thomas, 25, also played for Marsa and Vittoriosa Stars in his career.

Last season, he scored 22 goals in all, 12 for Senglea and 10 for Żebbuġ Rangers.

Thomas, who will give more options in the attacking depart-ment for coach Danilo Doncic, signed a three-year contract with the Wanderers.
