According to Roman Catholicism, Christ instituted the Mass when he said, “This is my body” (Matthew 26:26) and “This is my blood” (Matthew 26:28). The Mass is a sacrifice. Jesus instituted the Eucharist within a meal that was a memorial. We believe that every time we gather to celebrate we are acting in obedience to Jesus’ command to “do this in memory of me”. There is safety for the sheep in the sheepfold while sheep outside the sheepfold are completely helpless and vulnerable, just like the renegade Christian who forgoes church attendance.

The Church consists of many members but the problem is reaching people. Changing some methodologies and being creative is a good approach with which to start. The problem is that the Church has lost its way.

Christ is the cornerstone of the Church made of each of us to create a grand temple for God.
