Leading culinary author Anton B. Dougall published his first set of cookery cards more than 30 years ago.

These cards were a novelty in Malta and every set was made up of 600 cards with various sections. Every recipe was very simple to follow and were extremely popular. In fact, in a short span 25,000 sets were sold.

Now, Mr Dougall decided to return to one of his early loves.

He just published two sets of cards – one in English titled Maltese Cuisine and consisting of 50 cards, and one in Maltese, also comprising 50 cards, that is called Ħelu (sweets).

• Both sets may be obtained from all leading book shops in the coming days. They can also be ordered online at www.tisjir.com.
