• Xiltòn Ħaħóxek – interactive walkthrough

It’s pitch dark. In the middle of the night, a plot to arrest Jesus, the so-called Messiah, was unfolding. Judas Iscariot is the mastermind in leading the soldiers of the High Priest Caiaphas to the Garden of Getshemane.

“This is your hour – when darkness reigns.” [Luke 22:53]

4 Teenth Productions is presenting a new take on the Passion of Christ and will transform a World War II shelter in the Garden of Gethsemane. This shelter is situated next to St George’s church, in Qormi, where Good Friday statues will be on display.

Xiltòn Ħaħóxek, “when darkness reigns” will be starting exactly after the Passover meal leading to the Golgota. The arrest and trial leading to the conviction of Jesus are all intertwined in this 30-minute experience transmitted in Jesus’ native language, Hebrew, as well as Latin and Maltese.

Performances will be held today from 8pm onwards, and tomorrow from 9am till 12pm.

Cast includes Adrian Azzopardi, Mario Aquilina, Jonathan Tonna, Neville Refalo and Mariella Aquilina.

The performance is suitable for audiences over 12 years. Children under 12 must be accompanied by their guardians.
