Like many thousands of Maltese and Gozitans who find the bills very hard to pay, I cannot for the life of me understand why Lawrence Gonzi is ignoring the technology being put forward by Sargas.
What is really going on?
First we had a massive PR stunt to try and sell us the idea of heavy fuel oil technology. Then Dr Gonzi doesn’t win that PR battle so he says he will convert to gas.
Now we are told he can’t consider Sargas without giving the paying public really good reasons for his steadfast refusal.
Let me on behalf of all the Maltese, bar the Prime Minister and the ministers, remind them that we did not get an increase of €500 a week, so the bills really matter.
If we had received an in-crease of €500 a week like the ministers and Prime Minister, I wouldn’t be bothering to write this letter.
I hope Dr Gonzi reads this letter and responds, not only by getting excited about energy-saving light bulbs in Castille but by giving this country the energy-saving technology we all need so desperately, both for our pockets and for our precious environment.
