A spectacular feast of films is on offer for children this Saturday, from Snow White and the Huntsman to the Dark Knight Rises and Men In Black III.
The cut-price movie experience could not come at a better time for mums and dads struggling to keep the kids entertained during the school summer holidays.
Children’s Cinema Day is being held in all cinemas in Malta and Gozo that day and there is a wide selection of films to choose from.
Prices are attractive too – €2.50 for children and €4 for accompanying adults, with a slight increase in the price for 3D films.
The 16 specially-chosen movies include animation adventures, action adventure and drama and sci-fi, and should keep children, teens and adolescents occupied for the day.
Films to be screened are Step Up 4: Miami Heat (3D); Diary of a Wimpy Kid; Dog Days; Brave (3D); Red Tails; Dr Seuss’ The Lorax (3D); The Dark Knight Rises; Snow White and the Huntsman; Ice Age 4 and Continental Drift (3D).
There are also Amazing Spider-Man; Men In Black III; Battleship; Marvel Avengers Assemble; The Hunger Games; Mirror Mirror; The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists and We Bought A Zoo.
Early booking is recommended and can be made at the following cinemas: Eden, Paceville; Empire, Buġibba; Embassy, Valletta; Tal-Lira, Fgura; and the Citadel, Victoria.
The movies will be screened between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Film shows at the Citadel in Gozo will be at 3.45 and 6.15 p.m.
