Another year’s over but before the new one begins, Malta’s comedy ensemble – the Comedy Knights – will be returning for their annual show, which has become an integral part of thousands of Maltese people’s Christmas, along with the crib, the Christmas tree and being stuck in traffic for three hours after a last-minute shopping spree in Bisazza Street, Sliema.

The tickets for 5how Me the Funny – which is a play on words on the ultra-quotable line from the film Jerry Maguire, show me the money – are now on sale.

Shows will be on every day at the Salesian Theatre in Sliema between Tuesday, December 26 and Sunday, January 7, 2018, bar Sunday, December 31 and Monday, January 1, 2018.

“Audiences are in for a big surprise this year – we’ve got something brilliant up our sleeves,” says Comedy Knights founder, director and producer Wesley Ellul.

“Plus, of course, all the Knights will be on stage – namely, Chris Dingli, Pia Zammit, Marc Cabourdin, Thomas Camilleri, Jo Caruana, Colin Fitz, Steve Hili and Chantelle Micallef Grimaud.

“All your favourite characters will be back, too, including the Sliema Girls, the Balluta Boys, the First Lady and Joseph… Oh, and Simon has been replaced by Adrian…”

Tickets to the highly-anticipated show can be purchased from www.comedyknights.com, and audiences will be treated to another extravaganza of dancing, singing and semi-acting as the Comedy Knights take the viewer through a year which started as it meant to end: with the collapse of the country’s heritage.
