Toxipharm Ltd of San Ġwann recently staged a glittering reception to launch Glow, the brand new men’s fragrance from Yves San Lorange.

Guests were entertained to a fashion show of the latest styles tailored specifically for the lumpy and enormous

Effie De Lorean Borg, chief executive and director of Toxipharm Ltd of San Ġwann, told a glittering array of VIPs and almost as glittering guests that: “Glow is an exciting new and unique fragrance for men, in that it allows the man in your life to acquire the enticing aroma of honest toil.”

Among the usual suspects attending the launch (for the free Asti Spumante and sushi... and only for the free Asi Spew and sushi) were our own Clematis Darmanin Scudetto (pictured 38th from the right in the above picture of sales and promotions personnel from various media outlets and moribund ad agencies).

As a gesture of considerable largess to all those who attended, the management of Toxipharm Ltd of San Ġwann presented each attendee with a miniscule free... yes, free sample vial of their exciting new and unique fragrance for men.

Unlikely alliance fundraises for Listrina

The unlikely alliance of two disparate pressure groups managed to get together to raise the laudable sum of €19 and 43 euro cents for the end-of-year charity appeal Listrina.

Members of S.L.A.G.S (Sanġwann Lesbian And Gays Society) and B.A.L.L.S.S.U.P (Bigots Against Legalising Licentious Same-Sex Unions and Partnerships) came together – metaphorically speaking – in a Grand Family Day at Ta’ Qali recently, where the sum was raised.

The cheque was presented to representatives of Listrina by Ms Georg-ina Borg Frampton (Pictured above, 37th from the right in the boiler suit and facial hair).

Launch of brand new OB-City boutique

The great and good of the fashion world turned out in force recently for a reception to launch the San Ġwann branch of OB-City, the local ladies fashion chain that caters for both the fuller figure and the repellently obese.

The founder and chief executive of OB-City, Dierdre Gross Mangion, now presides over an empire of no fewer than two OB-City outlets, the brand new San Ġwann branch doubling the number of premises in existence.

In addition to the obligatory cheap fizzy wine and nasty things on cocktail sticks, guests were entertained to a fashion show of the latest styles tailored specifically for the lumpy and enormous. A phalanx of beautifully groomed and coiffed outsize and frankly... corpulent models waddled their stuff on a specially reinforced catwalk, to a polite smattering of applause from the watching throng.

The San Ġwann branch of OB-City – like its Bidnija sister branch – is open four days a week, or whenever Ms Gross Mangion remembers to bring the keys.
