Noon Mrs Abela presides over the Malta Community Chest Fund working committee at San Anton Palace, Attard.

12.30 p.m. The President attends a wreath-laying ceremony at the Air Forces Memorial in Floriana, organised by the Royal Air Forces Association in Malta.

Thursday

9.30 a.m. The President is presented with credentials by Kuwaiti Ambassador Faisal Sulaiman Ali Al-Musailem at the Palace, Valletta.

10.15 a.m. He is presented with credentials by Brazilian Ambassador José Viegas Filho.

11 a.m. He is presented with credentials by the SyrianAmbassador.

1.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela host a luncheon in honour of the newly-accredited ambassadors of Kuwait, Brazil and Syria and the High Commissioner of Seychelles at San Anton Palace.

7.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a farewell reception hosted by the Spanish Ambassador Maria Isabel Vicandi at her residence in Balzan.

Friday

9.45 a.m. The President attends the kick-off of the seventh football marathon organised by Puttinu Cares at the Marsa Sports Complex.

12.45 p.m. He attends a luncheon hosted by HSBC chairman and board of directors at their head office in Valletta.

7 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a reception hosted by South African High Commissioner Thenjiwe Ethel Mtintso at the Portomaso Suite Hilton,St Julian’s, on the occasion of South African Freedom Day.

7.30 p.m. The President presides over the ‘Premju Nazzjonali Ħaddiem tas-Sena 2011’ award ceremony at the Palace, Valletta.

Saturday

7 p.m. The President inaugurates a monument commemorating artist Anton Agius in Rabat.

Sunday

9.15 a.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend pontifical Mass on the occasion of the feast of St Publius at St Publius parish church, Floriana.

11.30 a.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend the annual reception held by the Vilhena Philharmonic Society on the feast of St Publius, at their premises in Floriana.

6 p.m. The President attends a thanksgiving Mass on the sixth anniversary of the election of Pope Benedict XVI at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta.
