The five-star luxury hotel The Palace in Sliema was voted Malta’s leading Boutique Hotel at the 23rd edition of the World Travel Awards held during a gala ceremony in Sardinia, Italy. These awards have been called the ‘Oscars’ of the travel industry by The Wall Street Journal of the US.

The winners are selected on an annual basis by an international panel of hospitality experts, trade professionals and the public.

The Palace general manager Kevin Callus said: “We are proud of this achievement and the directors of AX Hotels and myself would like to recognise our staff for playing their part in this significant achievement. This year has been a very positive journey for The Palace and I am excited to be closing the year on a high note with this honour.”

Next year, The Palace will be celebrating its 10th birthday. Since 2007 it has established itself as one of Malta’s famous hotels both among tourists and locals. Undoubtedly, The Palace is well known for its hospitality and the beautiful cityscape of Sliema and the picturesque view of Valletta.
