Saint Mary Band Club of Dingli, in collaboration with Dingli arch parish, will once again be holding its annual event featuring the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ along the streets of Dingli.

The theme for this pageant has been chosen as L-Aħħar Sebgħa (The Last Seven) and has been written by Fr Renè Vella. This representation has been inspired from the Year of Mercy and deals with the last seven phrases that our Lord Jesus Christ uttered on the Cross.

This representation will take place on Saturday at 5pm with the celebration of Holy Mass at Dingli Arch Parish and continues with the pageant procession which starts from the Saint Mary Band Club premises towards the main streets of Dingli at 5.45pm.

The highlight of this pageant will take place on the church’s parvis, at the highest point in Dingli, with the representations about the death and resurrection of our Lord .

Over 130 actors will be taking part in this year’s event. They will be accompanied by the Dingli girl guides and scouts, together with St Mary Band, directed by Mro Richard Bugeja. The Parish Choir (Regina Coeli) directed by Mro James Chappell will also participate.

The main aim and representation of this pageant is for the public to participate in the Walk of Faith and appreciate God’s mercy, especially during the Holy Week.
