Just weeks after the release of her latest single, Ira Losco has announced that her new album The Fire will be released later this month. The album is also available on pre-order in digital format from iTunes at the initial reduced price of €8.99.

Following the official release date, the album will be available from over 70 digital music stores, including Amazon, Spotify and HMV, as well as a physical release on CD. Those buying the album on pre-order will not only benefit from the cheaper price but will also get an instant download of The Person I Am.

The marked difference in style between the new single and last summer’s hit tune What I’d Give is but a tiny indication of the surprises that lie in store on the album, of which Losco commented: “I did not allow myself to get channelled and conditioned in any way on this album; this gave me the freedom to experiment with different styles, sounds and visuals.”

She added that she is as thrilled about this album as she was when she put out her debut album in 2004. The Fire will be Losco’s fifth studio album, alongside which she has also released two remix albums, a full-length DVD and a book.
